Meet Our Founder

Hello,

My name is Jennifer Young and I am the founder of The Orchard Children's Museum. I have held the hands and hearts of 1,000 children in Utah Valley as a mother, grandma, reading tutor and certified elementary teacher. I am thrilled to announce to our community that our museum is coming soon. I love seeing children learn in an environment that truly appeals to all their senses. Take a look at us and help us build as either a volunteer, a sponsor or donor. This will be a treasure for every child in the future who comes to visit and you can be a part of that legacy now.

Orem is "Family City USA", and we are proud to add to their legacy of supporting happy families, businesses and childhoods. We look forward to future discussions with city leaders as we start looking for our permanent home and location and working with them as a close community. Now is a good time to add your company sponsorship, become a volunteer or donate towards our future plans. Testimonials

"I am writing to express my enthusiastic support for Orchard Children’s Museum. As a professional business owner and entrepreneur having an appreciation for the role of education and creativity in our community, I am truly impressed by the invaluable contributions a museum can make to the development and enrichment of our children. In today’s fast-paced and technology-driven world, it is crucial to provide children with spaces where they can engage in hands-on learning, foster their imaginations, and develop essential cognitive and social skills. Orchard Children’s Museum will do just that by offering interactive exhibits, educational programs, and a welcoming environment for families from all walks of life. From my perspective, the museum will not only serve as a cornerstone for early childhood education but also act as a vital community hub. It brings families together, stimulates curiosity, and supports lifelong learning. The museum's plans for inclusivity and its efforts to reach underserved communities are particularly commendable. Moreover, the museum’s programs align with the skills we value in the business world—creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving. By nurturing these attributes in our youngest citizens, Orchard Children’s Museum will play a pivotal role in preparing future leaders and innovators. I wholeheartedly endorse Orchard Children’s Museum and encourage others to support this wonderful institution. Investing in the museum is an investment in the future of our children and our community. I look forward to seeing the continued positive future impact of Orchard Children’s Museum and am proud to be a supporter."

"When two of my children were falling behind learning to read, I wasn't sure how to help them. The programs set up at school to assist them weren't helping. My neighbor, Jennifer Young said that she might be able to help. Jennifer's system for teaching children to read was exactly what they needed! Both of my children learned to read under Jennifer's tutelage. Not only was she patient and kind, but she taught them as individuals, catering to what each of them needed. She set realistic goals, however they not only reached those goals but excelled beyond. We credit Jennifer for our children's love of reading, something whenever thought would happen! We are forever grateful to her and her love for our children. Reading is power and she gave that to them."

Laura P. | Neighbor and Orem Mom

"Jennifer helped me improve and I am very grateful."
